About UsMr. Graber was born and raised in a "Horse and Buggy" Amish family in rural Indiana. He was brought up being taught the value of quality craftsmanship and good work ethics. Not long after Mr Graber. and his wife Rosie began a family they started to notice some abnormaties in the physical abilities of some of their children. It was soon diagnosed as Muscular Dystrophy, a genetic disorder that had a higher than average occurance rate among the local amish population. Graber then began to contemplate a career switch away from carpentry to somthing that would provide employment opportunities for his disabled children, of whom would end up totaling five of thier eight children. So in 1992 They opened their first retail outlet selling Amish made products like jams and jellies to the public. Several retail outlets including Amish restaurants, furniture stores, craft shops and a flea market soon followed. It has been over 15 years since that first retail establishment and now the second generation has joined the team bringing with them technical advances such as computer aided kitchen design software and internet showrooms. Combine those advances with timeless value of dedicated Amish furnitre and cabinet craftsmen and you get a wonderful combination style, beauty, and quality in every piece that we offer. |
