Q. Is this furniture really Amish-Handcrafted?
A. All the furniture sold on our website is Amish built to the hightes standards of quality.
Q. Where is this Amish furniture made?
A.
We have various Amish suppliers in Shipshewana, Indiana and Holmes County, Ohio.
Q. How does your Amish-Handcrafted furniture compare to other furniture?
A.
According to a leading expert from Professional Marketing LLC, there is
no furniture that will compare in quality, durability, flexibility, and
price. We feel this sums it up well. Our Handcrafted furniture is very
flexible in that you can choose from multiple
stain options, it can be customized to a certain extent to fit your
needs, it is very durable, and we use all solid hardwood, (even on the
sides of our furniture) According to the leading expert, this feature
is almost extinct anywhere else. Be sure to ask our sales staff to show
you these benefits and features.
Q. If I order, how long does it take to receive my order?
A.
Keep in mind, this furniture is not warehoused like imported furniture.
Our furniture is built specifically for you and is not started until you
place your order. This process normally takes from 6-8 weeks for dining furniture and 8-10 weeks for bedroom furniture. However we cannot give a definate delivery date do to flexuating schedules of our suppliers. Remember this furniture is special, it is built
just for you.
Q. What do you know about imported furniture?
A. The imported furniture market caters to a throwaway lifestyle, using poor
quality veneers, limited or no warranties & limited to no choices. It
is mass produced, and warehoused. Also if you have a problem, there are
minimal things that can be done. Shipping costs are high these days, and
you are responsible for shipping to and from factories. Beware of furniture
with so-called "bells and whistles". Ask questions, be sure you know what
you are getting.
Q. My table has a small crack on each side where it closes together, and
also between the leaves, is this normal?
A. Yes? this is perfectly
normal it is due to humidity levels in your home and solid wood is a natural
fiber so therefore it breathes and must expand or contract according to
humidity levels. (refer to care guide for proper humidity levels)
Q. When I put the leaves in my table they go in place very hard, is this
okay?
A. Yes, this is okay. It will be hard taking
them in and out for a little while, but it should get easier with each
use.
Q. Do I need to use coasters or placemats on my furniture?
A.
The only reason you would need coasters or placemats on your furniture
is to keep the small scratches to a minimum. As far as the finish is concerned
with water you do not need them. If you decide to use coasters or placemats
make sure they have non-scratching surfaces. Always keep furniture dried
off especially under coasters and placemats. Do not leave wet for long
periods of time.
Q. My furniture has different color variations in it, is this normal?
A.
This is normal, and according to a leading expert from Professional marketing
LLC this is called unique charm. In both the manufacturing and finishing
of our furniture, we try to bring forth the character and beauty of the
wood. All hardwood lumber has variations in the color and grain: this is
part of it's natural beauty. These variations make it impossible to guarantee
an exact match in finish between two pieces of furniture, even though
identical finishing processes are applied. These characteristic qualities
give solid wood it's unique charm.
Q. What if I encounter a problem with my Heirloom Furniture?
A.
Although problems are very rare, they may occur. These problems are resolved
through our customer service as quickly as possible. Customer service
works personally between you and the manufacturer to expedite repairs
and/or replacements.
Q. If I decide to purchase additional pieces in the future, will they still
be available?
A.
In almost all cases, YES!!! One of the many benefits of purchasing custom-made
heirloom furniture is the fact that this never goes out of style. A detailed
record is retained on each one of your custom purchases. This tells us
which pieces you purchased, when you purchased it, the type of wood and
stain choice, and any special requests that were made.
